Ariel Khadr speaks with Lenda Murray and Alina Popa about winning Ms Fitness International at the Arnold Classic 2022 as well as how bodybuilding affects her shape and routine.
Ariel also talks about gymnastics and Tae Kwon Do and Jr. Fitness International in Europe, starting with weights at fifteen and a half years old, as well as how she chose to coach herself and develop her own winning routine.
"Somebody with a better routine and performance will win over someone with better moves (skills)...The fun part is being onstage." - Ariel Khadr
Fitness incorporates gymnastics, dance, handstands, physique, and a wider variety of body types than other bodybuilding divisions.
Physique can be the most intimidating for new aspiring fitness competitors but it doesn't have to be except at the highest levels of bodybuilding.
Fitness involves a posing round and a performance round with a percentage of your total score being awarded to each. Ariel did everything herself this year, from costume design to routine to makeup to music and the Terminator theme, as well as her training.
There are only 11 shows this year for the Fitness division compared to 18 shows for Women's bodybuilding which poses a challenge for competitors seeking to qualify for the Olympia. Will Ariel ramp up her Terminator routine for the Olympia 2022 in Las Vegas at the end of the year or perform a whole new routine? Find out in this episode!
