Dennis James speaks with James Hollingshead on the Menace Podcast about his similarities to Dorian, his diet, traveling difficulties due to COVID and his conditioning and training routine as Mr Olympia approaches - Will other bodybuilders come in big to compete with Rami instead of being in top condition?
"People always ask how I got here I was willing to work just a little harder than everyone else every damn day if I can have hundreds of hours back you know I'm going to grab them spending hours prepping chicken rice and vegetables after that I rely on perfect nutrition. I rely on Trifecta....Typically, I'm like, not far off, like around about three, four weeks out like not far...like I only need a little bit of time just to cruise in. But normally, like my body fat is not far off, where it needs to be around so that things can be really gentle for the last four weeks. I think this year because of travel might have passed plan is to kind of be in good shape before travel commences. So that if there is any, you know, BS on the way, we're already kind of there. So it's not going to damage the process. Because the last thing you want to do is not be in shape of traveling, and try and play catch up. So there is a plan in place to obviously try to achieve a certain look, a certain part later stage in this process, before we even get off the ground so that we're not playing catch up, because that's the last thing you want to do. But imagine like, you're two weeks out, you're not in shape, and you've got to literally do more, harder you've ever done. You're going to bring a wasted physique. Yeah, like I always aim to be in shape a bit early for sure."
