Hidetada Yamagishi and Iris Kyle talk about their experience opening the Powerhouse Gym in Vegas, running the Bodi Cafe, Hide's official retirement, the 2020 Olympia, his long career and exit plan from active bodybuilding.
Hidetada Yamagishi is probably the most well-known bodybuilder and most accomplished in Japan.
Iris Kyle still has unfinished business even after her medical emergency at the 2020 Olympia in Orlando and being unable to compete after winning the Ms. Olympia title more than any other bodybuilder (The Ms. Olympia division was taken away from 2015-2019 until it was returned by Jake Wood who also bought the Olympia).
Iris: "I could win on symmetry and by putting on more mass. I am used to competing at 165, but I would need to be shredded and 170."
"We grind. we didn't have all these super supplements back in the day."
Iris has been competing for 20 years but has no significant injuries that prevent her from being in her best shape. Iris speaks about the come back of female bodybuilding and the quality of the competitors.
