Dorian Hayward is the bodybuilding chiropractor and IFBB Men's Open Pro who has trained at Armbrust Pro Gym in Colorado for the last 11 years. When Dorian first started going there, Phil Heath, who also trains at Armbrust wasn't Mr. Olympia yet.
"I'm gonna start off with Indy Pro. Very next weekend, the New York Pro. Now I feel if I win either of those shows, I'll probably sit out till the Olympia. But if for some reason I don't pull them in at Indy or New York, I'm gonna continue on to the CALPRO the very following weekend after New York....since my diet is like a weekly cyclic type of thing, I think I can just go show to show the show like that, because I'm not really changing my pattern and not really changing my food."
"I think the biggest problem I run into is people assume that because I'm a big guy, they need to wail on me. So I'm normally telling some of these guys, "Just take it easy on me. I can relax and things will just right in the place no problem.""
Dorian entered the 2017 Tampa Pro and placed ninth place as a rookie and as an older bodybuilder who had already got a degree and started a family. He made a name for himself by entering five shows last year. He is participating in the Indy Pro coming up here in three and a half weeks.
Last years Indy Pro results:
1- Justin Rodriguez
2- Mohammed El Emam
3- Blessing Awodibu
4- Dorian Haywood
The next weekend at last year's New York Pro, Dorian beat both Blessing and Mohammed.
New York Pro 2021 Results:
First Place – Nick Walker
Second place – Justin Rodriguez
Third place – Hassan Mostafa
Fourth place – Dorian Haywood
Fifth place – Mohammed El Emam
Sixth place – Blessing Awodibu
"I'm 39, but every year I seem to get better." - Dorian Haywood
